The Wrap: Round 1
By: Daniel | August 18th, 2008
Round 1 of the A-League has come and gone and there was one general theme throughout all the matches… great Play but poor finishing. Not many goals at all and the fact that only one team came away with 3 points in the whole round must make for an incredibly boring league?…right?… wrong, the way all the teams played was awesome, however it was the finishing that was pathetic. That’s a major difference between this league and others around the world. Here if a mistake is made in defense they will most likely get away with it but in Europe they will be punished! Hopefully this will improve later in the season.
Congratulations are due for Adelaide skipper Travid Dodd for tearing the back of the net apart on his 100th game for the reds!
In other news, the squad for the Socceroos clash with South Africa has been anounced here… no major suprises just the fact that Djite is int he team… bahh arnold!
Here are the highlights and the reports for matchday 1.
Newcastle Jets 1 vs 1 Central Coast Mariners Match Report
Sydney FC 0 vs 0 Melbourne Victory Match Report
Wellington Phoenix 1 vs 1 Queensland Roar Match Report
Adelaide United 1 vs 0 Perth Glory Match Report

Yeah, there are people reading. Big fan of The offside and of the A-league (Roar in specific).
Perhaps you should concentrate on one game a week and analyse the crap out of it. So have a wrap-up article (like this) plus a focused article each week, plus other article if/when they come.
Maybe you could plug the blog in the forums of the various supporters groups for promotion.
