

Round 15 Highlights: Central Coast Steamroll Robbie Fowler’s Fury

Gold Coast traveled to Hindmarsh to face an out of sorts Adelaide outfit who have struggled at home all season. The Coasters scored the first goal as Steve Fitzsimmons leached onto Zenon Caravella’s cross despite being reduced to 10 men. Adelaide however fought back, getting a late equaliser through young Victorian Matthew Leckie. The match ended 1-1.
Brisbane Roar Vs. Melbourne Victory
Melbourne stole all three point in Queensland courtesy of an Archie Thompson goal on 8 minutes.

North Queensland Fury Vs. Central Coast Mariners
A red hot Central Coast traveled North to face an inform Fury who were on a 6 game undefeated streak, the best in the clubs history. The Mariners were no match for Fury as Nick Mrdja scored 2, Bojic, Elrich and Hutchinson all chipped in with a goal each. Griffith scored a consolation for North Queensland as they lost 5-1.
Newcastle Jets Vs. Wellington Phoenix
In Newcastle it was Paul Iffil again who stole the headlines as he scored for the fourth consecutive match. His goal on 15 minutes was enough to see the Phoenix rise above the Jets.
Perth Glory Vs. Sydney FC
After a poor first half Perth Boss Dave Mitchell decided to make some changes at half time. THey changes paid dividends as Scott Bulloch and Branko Jelic scored to see the Glory past Sydney.
