

Round 10 Highlights: Melbourne Capitulate As Sydney Run Riot

A season high of 30,000 attended the Derby between Australia’s biggest cities. It took 14 minutes for Sydney to get in front and 5 minutes for them to build a 3-0 lead courtesy of Brosque and Bridge. Melbourne were all over the shop, the match was lost after 20 minutes.
Perth Glory Vs. Adeliade United
In a match that Adelaide dominated Perth keeper Velaphi kept them at bay. Dutchman Victor Sikora gave Perth all 3 points at home with his effort from outside the box. 1-0
Central Coast Mariners Vs. North Queensland Fury
The Mariner’s got off to a flying scoring after 15 seconds when a defensive lapse allowed Simon to have a crack on goal, his effort went flying into the top corner. After struggling in front of goal for the whole match Fury stole a point when McBreen found the back of the net. 1-1
Brisbane Roar Vs. Gold Coast United
Brisbane were in shock with coach Frank Farina being stood down over a drink driving incident, and failed to take any of there opportunities. Joel Porter scored the only goal of the match with an effort from close range.
