W-League 2009 Grand Final: Sydney FC V Brisbane Roar

The 2009 W-League season came to a close last Saturday as Sydney FC played host to reigning champions Brisbane Roar. Sydney defeated Canberra’s team in there semi-final while Brisbane traveled to Central Coast and won to seal there progress to the Grand Final.

Women’s W-League Gets Major Push!

The most exciting period in Australian Women’s football is here!
Sports Minister Kate Ellis confirmed that two payments of $16m will be made to the FFA over the next four years, upon certain conditions being successfully met. These conditions being that the FFA establish a football league for women and that the league be televised.
