A League Round 15 Preview
The internationals are over and a new round of the A League is here!

Adelaide United v Gold Coast United, Friday, 8pm
Gold Coast have managed to claw back some respectability with their win over Sydney before the break, but Adelaide away will be a tough game. Adelaide have looked ok, but haven’t been able to convert their chances. I think Adelaide’s going to finally put on their scoring boots. 2-1 Adelaide
Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Victory, Saturday, 7pm
Probably the hardest game to tip. The Roar are on the up, and picked up a win last week, while Melbourne were looking good before getting tonked by CCM. Strangely, if this was in Melbourne I’d tip a draw, but as the game is in Brisbane, and Melbourne’s away from is very good, I think Melbourne will edge it. 2-1 Melbourne
North Queensland Fury v Central Coast Mariners, Saturday, 9pm
Central Coast are possibly the most random and inconsistent team in the A League, and currently sit on five wins, five draws and four losses. After beating Melbourne, it would be just Central Coast’s luck to lose to North Queensland. The Fury have moved back to the bottom after a loss to the Jets, so I can see the Fury turning it around and getting a win. 1-0 Fury

Team News

A Preview, Other News And A Kick In The Nuts
Thought I'd start this post by re-living Carlos Hernandez's miss kick. His foot missed the ball and hit John Hutchinson right in his fatherhood during Melbourne's encounter with the Mariner's last round.
The recent news in the build up to our clash with the Roar at Suncorp on Saturday includes:
Injury replacment Marvin Angulo was denied an International Transfer Certificate by FIFA's Player Status Committee. That means he wont be able to play for the club until the next transfer window (January 1st). (MVFC)

Bits And Pieces
I just wanted to do a post on all the recent stuff that has been going on around the club over the past few weeks that I missed due to my exam commitments.
Sutee lead Thailand to Victory in there Asian Cup Qualifier against Singapore with a brace. (Above, Goal.com)
Billy Ceeski's injury replacement Mavin Angulo is on the way...we just don't know when he will arrive. (MVFC)
Melbourne's ladies managed to draw with high flying Sydney FC and reigning champs Brisbane Roar. (MVFC)
Our youth team managed to beat CCM 4-1 courtesy of a hattrick by Elasi, and backed it up by scoring another goal along with a brace by Kruse to see off Perth 3-0. (MVFC)

VOTW: Hitler's Take On Melbourne's Goalkeeping Situation!
I found this video while doing my weekly patrol on Youtube. Very funny. It takes aim at the top managment at Melbourne, with Hitler questioning Ernie, Geoff Lord and Gary Cole
There are obviously some disgruntled supporters out there, great way to get the point across.
I love all three Adeliade reference's ...

Central Coast 4, Melbour....ZzZzZzZzZzZz
We came into this match winning 6 out of the past 7 matches and hoping to improve on the 3-0 defeat we suffered out the hands of Central Coast at home in round 1. This match showed the form doesn't count for anything in this league as the out of form Mariner's did one better than there win at the start of the year.
Melbourne Victory: 0
Central Coast Mariners: 4 (Kwasnik 15, Simon 75, Heffernan 80, Mrdja 84)
Crowd: 18,531 at Etihad Stadium
Melbourne started the match with a 3-4-3 with Surat Sukha returning from injury but left on the bench. This was the same formation that was used in our last defeat out the hands of Sydney and the formation held the same consequences.

Glory Hold Sheepshaggers
Perth Glory will head back from the long trip to New Zealand relatively happy after a 1-1 draw with the Wellington Phoenix on Sunday.
The Phoenix are pretty sh1t hot at home and haven't lost there for something like 14 matches. Obviously, coming into the game with that record, Glory (on the back of 3 losses) would've taken any kind of result from the match.
But occasionally Glory promised more, with some decent chances going close, before taking the lead through Wayne Srhoj's nice free-kick.
But in typical Glory fashion, we surrendered our advantage (and the ball whenever possible it seemed) allowing the Nix to control the final 15 minutes and equalise through Paul Ifill.

Smeltz Sinks Sydney with Spot-on Header
Sydney have been defeated by the Gold Coast United side on Saturday in front of 5,000 fans at Skilled Park. A Smeltz header from a great Culina cross made the difference, however Melbourne's heavy loss keeps Sydney on top of the A-League ladder.
Bleiberg has reverted back to his original 4-2-2-2 ...

Melbourne Break Perth Curse
Just a quick one today guys, I'm in the middle of exam's and very short on time.
Melbourne Victory: 2 (C Coyne own goal 6, Hernandez 67)
Perth Glory: 1 (Sterjovski 19)
Crowd: 10,035 at Members Equity Stadium
Melbourne just managed to edge a victory against Perth in front of a strong crowd.

No Victory For Glory
Perth Glory lost at home for the first time this season on Sunday arvo, with a 2-1 loss to champions Melbourne Victory.
I took in the game, arriving just in time to get a decent spot in the shade and amongst the festivities in The Shed.
But early on things didn't really go to plan and, to be honest, we didn't start well and it was ominous.

Brisbane Still Searching Four Win
Brisbane Roar have ended their four-match losing streak, but are still without a win, after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the Newcastle Jets at Suncorp Stadium tonight.
A first-half penalty from Sergio van Dijk cancelled out Labinot Haliti’s opener to share the spoils after a dominant second-half performance from Brisbane drew ...
